In her role as Managing Director, Ali Reed oversees Essence's UK client relationships, new business, and marketing and plays a key leadership role in the agency's initiatives to further accelerate diversity and inclusion.
Since joining Essence in 2018, Reed has played an instrumental role in bringing big brands to the business, which won clients including L’Oréal, Peloton, and Argos. As well as her dedication and skill for building brands, Reed is committed to developing talent and culture, and has championed a number of initiatives at Essence, including Return on Women, a drive for a more balanced leadership team and Project Nolan, a new business initiative to nurture rising pitch stars, putting 25 people through their paces already.
Prior to Essence, Ali spent half a decade at OMD where she served in leadership roles across client services, planning, and strategy. She has also worked as UK Marketing Director for Full Tilt Poker and managed accounts across a wide array of industries and markets for Naked Communications, Rocket, and Mindshare.
Based in London, Ali received her BSc in Behavioral Sciences, Zoology and Psychology from the University of Nottingham.
