Throughout 2023, The Independent’s commercial team demonstrated our innovative approach to driving successful commercial performance while achieving our strapline of Making Change Happen, across four core business areas of data, ad operations, direct sales and Independent Ignite, collaborating like never before with total revenue for 2023 increasing by 13% YoY. This was in a really tough market for news brands. In 2023, The Independent’s commercial team proved itself as the leader in the online market and whilst many of its competitors are struggling to navigate ongoing digital transformation, it has been actively improving lives around the UK.
