With our partnership with Wickes going into its third year, we set about creating an innovative campaign that would continue to beat expectations while keeping things fresh for readers. To position the brand as one with on-trend style, and attract an audience of younger, female readers and those new to DIY, we wanted to show that you get your dream look without breaking the bank.

And what better way to grab the attention of an on-demand generation than with the simplicity they’re used to seeing in online retail? Enter: ‘Want it? Wickes it!’. For this ambitious campaign, we created DIY mobile stories - a media first in this category - a shoppable content format that we paired with four DIY influencers who created self-shot inspirational content and the ever-relatable Kimberley Walsh to add a touch of glamour.

We put out 28 pieces of branded and editorial content and the results have been incredible, with nearly 10 million digital ad impressions on our new formats, four in five agreeing that Wickes is good for all DIYers, and a +43% increase in perceptions that Wickes is inspirational.
